By systematically optimizing the chemical composition, smelting process, rolling process and heat treatment process of metal materials, ultra-high strength spring steel with tensile strength up to 2.2GPa was successfully developed. Generally speaking, for every 50MPa increase in the allowable spring stress, a weight loss effect of about 5%. Based on this material, the developed springs can ultimately achieve a 30% weight loss.
By reducing the spring design stress, its fatigue life can be significantly improved. Experimental research shows that the springs prepared with this ultra-high strength spring steel have an increase in fatigue life of 11 times, fully meeting the requirements of 2 million service cycles.
